America Online Address Book
To create a group mailing list:
- Click the Mail menu, then click Address Book.
- In the Address Book window, click the Group Options button, then click Add Group.
- In the Manage Group window, type the name of the group in section 1.
- In section 2, select contacts to add to the group from the Contact List section on the left, then click the Add button.
- In section 3, type additional e-mail addresses that are not already in your Address Book to add to the group. Type a comma after each e-mail address you add.
- In section 4, select the Yes or No option to share the group at AOL Groups@AOL.com.
- Click the Save button.
To edit a group in the Address Book: - Click the Mail menu, then click Address Book.
- On the Groups panel, click Groups, then select the Group you want to edit.
- Click the Group Options button, then click Edit Group.
- In the Manage Group window, edit the name of the Group in section 1.
- In section 2, select Contacts to add to the Group from the Contact List on the left, then click the Add button, or select contacts to remove from the Group list on the right, then click the Remove button.
- In section 3, type additional e-mail addresses that are not already in your Address Book to add to the group. Type a comma after each e-mail address you add.
- In section 4, select the Yes or No option to share the Group at AOL Groups@AOL.com.
- Click the Save button.
Now you have your address grouping.

America Online 8.0 or Lower Versions
Please Note: This does not apply to AOL Versions 9.0 or Higher Versions
To send the newsletter to your customers using AOL Version 8.0 or a lower Version, you need to use another email provider to copy, paste, and edit the newsletter. When you paste the newsletter directly into AOL 8.0 or lower, it will lose it's formatting. Lower versions of AOL do not support the pasting of HTML emails.
You can sign up for a FREE Hotmail (www.hotmail.com) or Yahoo (www.yahoo.com) email address. You will only need to use the alternate email address to paste and edit the newsletter. Then you will address it to yourself at AOL.
In AOL, you will open the message and then simply "forward" the email to your customer grouping. Receiving the email in it's proper format through AOL is not a problem. It is not necessary to transfer your customer email addresses to another account.
If you sign up for a free Hotmail account, follow these instructions:
- Sign into the BasketEmail website to retrieve the newsletter by using this address:

- Copy the newsletter by clicking on "Edit" at the top of the screen
- Click on "Copy"
- Open a new message in your Hotmail account by clicking on the "New Message" button
- BEFORE you Paste the newsletter, click on the "Tools" drop down menu. Select "Rich Text Editor On". If the drop down menu currently shows "Rich Text Editor Off", then this option is already turned on. If the Rich Text Editor is turned on, just above the message body area, you will see a tool bar with several options. This tool bar has a smiley face on it. This will allow you to send the HTML format newsletter.
- Now, just put your cursor in the body of the message and Click on Edit, Click on Paste.
- To edit your personal message into the newsletter, just backspace over any information you want to
change and type in your personal info.
- In the "Subject" line, type in the name of your Newsletter.
- In the "To" box, type in YOUR AOL email address.
- Click on "Send"
After you have edited your newsletter, addressed it to yourself at your AOL account and sent it:
Now open the email in your AOL account.
- Click on "forward" This will open a new message. The body of the message will be
blank.
- In the subject line you can type the name of your newsletter.
- In the "Send To" Box type in your own email address.
- Open your Address Book by clicking on the "Address Book" Icon on the side of the email message. Your
Address Book will open.
- Click on your Customer Group. It will be highlighted.
- Click on the "BCC" button at the bottom of your Address Book Screen. This will put all your
customers' email addresses in the "Copy To" Box on your email message.
- Click on "Send Now"
Using this method will send the email to your customers without them being able to view everyone's email
addresses. You will receive a copy of the email. This copy will show all the email addresess of your customers,
but the one your customers receive will only show their own email address.

If you sign up for a free Yahoo account, follow these instructions:
- Sign into the BasketEmail website to retrieve the newsletter by using this address:

- Click on the newsletter link you wish to copy
- Copy the newsletter by clicking on "Edit" at the top of the screen
- Click on "Copy"
- Open a new message in your Yahoo account by clicking on "Compose" just below "Addresses"
- BEFORE you Paste the newsletter into your new message, you need to be sure that the Color and Graphics
option is selected. To do this, click on the "Options" link on the far right. Under "Management" click on the "General Preferences" link.
On the next screen, scroll down to where it says "Composing E-mails" and select the "Compose messages as color and graphics" button. Click on the "Save" button.
- Now click on "Compose" again and you will see a tool bar above the message body area. This tool bar will have a smiley face if the html option has been selected.
- Now, just put your cursor in the body of the message and Click on Edit, Click on Paste.
- To edit your personal message into the newsletter, just backspace over any information you want to change
and type in your personal info.

Hotmail Instructions
Address Book Instructions:
- Open your Hotmail email account
- Click on “Contacts” at the top where it says “Today...Mail...Calendar...
Contacts”
- Click on the "New" drop down menu and select "Group"
- Next type a name for your Group (Example, Customers)
- You can add existing contacts to your group by selecting them on the left under "My Contacts" and clicking on the "Add" button. Or, you can add an email address in the field below "My Contacts" by typing in one email address at a time and clicking on the "Add" button.
- When you have entered them all in, click on “Save”
Now you have your address grouping.
To send the newsletter using Hotmail:
- Sign into the BasketEmail website to retrieve the newsletter by using this address:

- Click on the newsletter link you wish to copy
- Copy the newsletter by clicking on "Edit" at the top of the screen

Outlook Express Instructions
Setting Up Outlook Express:
You must have the right "boxes" checked to send HTML email in Outlook Express. Follow these instructions:
- Open your Outlook Express
- Go to "tools"
- Click on "options" This will open a box up with different tabs to select.
- Click on the "Send" tab, then look down to the middle where it says "Mail Sending Format"
- Click on the "HTML" circle. That needs to be turned on to send HTML format emails.
- Click on "Apply"
- Click on "OK"
Address Book Instructions:
- Open Outlook Express
- Click on “Tools” at the top
- Click on “Address Book”
- Click on “New”
- Click on “New Group”
- In “Group Name” type in the name of your group, (example: Customers)
If you already have your customers’ email addresses listed in your Address Book separately, click on “Select
Members” on the right hand side. If not, see *** below.
The next screen should bring up a list of all the people in your Address Book. Click on each one of
your customers and their name should appear in the box on the right hand side of the screen. After you have
selected all the customers, Click on “OK” All your customers will be added to your new grouping.
*** If you don’t already have your customers’ email addresses listed in your Address book follow these
directions:
Complete instructions 1-6 first above. Then, at the bottom of the screen where it says “Name” type in your
customer’s name and then in the “email” space, type in their email address.
Click on “Add.” Repeat this process for each customer. When you want to add someone new, just follow this
same process.
Now you have your address grouping and you are ready to copy and paste the newsletter into a new message.
To send the newsletter using Outlook Express:
- Sign into the BasketEmail website to retrieve the newsletter by using this address:

- Click on the picture of the book next to the "To" line and a new screen will open with your Address Book.

you protect your customers' privacy. Their copy will only show your email address and their own.
- Click “Send” - You’ve just sent your first customer email!

Outlook Instructions
Setting Up Outlook:
You must have the right "boxes" checked to send HTML email in Outlook. Follow these instructions:
- Open Microsoft Outlook
- Go to "Tools"
- Click on "Options" This will open a box up with different tabs to select.
- Click on the "Mail Format" tab. Under message format be sure that it is set up like this:
Send in this message format: HTML
NO CHECK MARK in the box next to Use Microsoft Word to edit e-mail messages.
- Now click on the "Settings" button. If there is a checkmark, remove the checkmark in the box next to "Send pictures from the Internet with messages."
- Click on "Apply"
- Click on "OK"
To send the newsletter using Outlook:

Yahoo Instructions
You will want to set up a customer list in your Yahoo Address Book. You can find information on how to set up your Yahoo Address Book at this link: http://help.yahoo.com/us/tutorials/mail/index.html
To send the newsletter using Yahoo:
- BEFORE you paste the newsletter into your new message, you need to be sure that the Color and Graphics

- Just above the "To" box, click on "Add Bcc" This will add an address line to add your customers email addresses as blind copies.
- Now click on the "Bcc" link next to that address line. A new screen will open with your Contact list. At the top where it says "Category" select your customer list. Click the "Go" button.
- Click the "bcc" boxes for all your customers to blind copy them. This way you protect your customers' privacy. Their copy will only show your email address and their own. OR if you don't want to blind copy your customers, just click on "check all" This will put all your customer email addresses in the "To" box.
- Click “Send” - You’ve just sent your first customer email!

MLM Software Lower Versions
Any MLM versions below version 8 do not support HTML email. They only support plain text messages. Below is what MLM states in their help for versions lower than version 8.
Here is a method for pasting HTML into MLM Easy Money emails. This method is a bit cumbersome and not perfect, but it's all that is possible for lower versions.
- Copy the web page (newsletter) using Select All and then Copy.
- Open MicroSoft Word and paste the newsletter into a new document.
- Save the document in RTF format.
- Close the document and then reopen it.
- Copy the contents using Select All and Copy and then paste them into an Easy Money e-mail.

MLM Software Version 8 or Higher
MLM Version 8 WILL support HTML emails.
- Sign into the BasketEmail website to retrieve the newsletter by using this address:

- Copy the newsletter by clicking on "Edit" at the top of the screen
- Click on "Copy"
- Open a new message in your MLM program
- Put the cursor in the body of the message and click "Edit", click on "Paste". This will paste the entire newsletter
in your new message.
- To edit your personal message into the newsletter, just backspace over any information you want to change
and type in your personal info.
- Address and process the email message the way you would any email message in MLM.

Paper Newsletter Instructions
To Download and Save your Paper Newsletter:
- Log in to your account with your email address and password
- Click on the "Pick Up News" Tab
- Click on the Paper Newsletter Link and the newsletter will open as a Word document
- Click on "File" on the top menu.
- Click on "Save As"
- Select where you want to save your file and be sure to remember what folder you saved it to.
- Now you can go to that folder and open your newsletter document for editing.

Changing Contact Information in your Account
To Change your Account Information:
- Log in to your account with your email address and password
- Click on the "Client Info" Tab
- Click on the "Edit Client Info" Button
- Make the changes you want to make
- Click on the "Save Changes" Button

Edit Pay Method
To Edit your Payment Information:
- Log in to your account with your email address and password
- Click on the "Pay Method" Tab
- Click on the "Edit Payment Info" Button
- Under Current Pay Method, select the method you would like to pay with. If it is Credit Card, on the next screen that comes up, fill out the appropriate information
- Save the Changes

Renew Subscription
To renew your subscription:
- Log in to your account with your email address and password
- Click on the Subscriptions Tab
- Click on the Renew Button
- Fill out the form
- If your payment information is not correct, click on the "update your payment information" link
- If your payment information is correct, check the box to authorize payment
- Click on the Purchase Renewal button
